This year, the cost for a 30 second commercial was $5.6 million compared to the $5.2 million from 2019. Companies spend all year long brainstorming and designing the most memorable, heartfelt, relatable commercial to display during the game in order to capture the largest amount of views in one given time. Some stand out more than other though, such as the Rocket Mortgage by Quicken Loans with Jason Mamoa. Many people around the world know Jason Mamoa for is famous roles in movies such as Aquaman, Frontier, and Game of Thrones. He is known for his size, muscles, long hair and thick beard. In this commercial, producers use photoshop to transform Mamoa from a manly man to a weak, skinny, balding hippy. The commercial shocked viewers making Mamoa look nothing like his normal self. Commercials such as this grasp the attention of the audience and creates publicity for the company.
